Ok, after an exciting drive
fiddling with the volt meter I can confirm my 2016 Logan (DCi90) has regen. braking and a Smarternator.
Mine is the same volts but the fan speeds drops with engine on tickover/low revs
Key in ignition, no start: 12.2 volts
Start engine: volts creep up to 14.8 vdc, obviously under ECU control, then drops to 13.5.
Drive: volts immediately down to 12.8.
Come to downhill bit: foot off accelerator: 14.8 volts every time, then immediately back to 12.8 on application of accelerator.
Rinse and repeat: regen.braking happens every time you lift off the go pedal. It doesn't happen when you brake. Air-con and fan on makes no difference.
However, with headlights on the volts are at a constant 14.5 vdc.
I couldn't hear any fan pitch change during all this electro-malarky.
