Bonnet seal is to keep the crap out of the engine bay and a good mod for a few quid

Sorry for confusing you 'the brain'.....

Many Dacia owners have added a bonnet seal to keep the inside of the engine bay cleaner due to all the muck being thrown up on our roads. With the seal in place the engine bay should remain pristine for longer.......

I decided to add the vinyl to the pillars to protect the paintwork from jewellery etc when people open the doors etc, but the main reason is to enhance the look of the car in side profile as I have tinted the rear windows and added front wind deflectors........

Neither mod is required to make the Dacia work, however both mods will make my ownership of the stepway ever so slightly more pleasurable (not in a kinky way I must add)

I hope that makes it a little clearer, and eliminates any confusion.

Geraint, you are a star,I will get and order some rubber trim,so it's here and ready for when I collect my stepway,I just wanted to double check the height of the trim,as I read on the forum, someone mentioned that some trim is too chunky when you close the bonnet etc...but you've bought some and fitted it,so your word is bond....I think I will look around the Bristol area for a decent tint fitter,as a Swansea round trip (plus bridge fee) will add up to a few quid
