Dacia have got a special offer on some remaining 2013 Dusters, because the new models have ESC/ASR added and the laureate has also cruise control the old reaming stock are been discounted. A Laureate 4x4 diesel has dropped to £14,120. see the link

Just placed an order for our second Duster. My wife will now get the Laureate 4x2, with all the mod cons she loves, that has been a joy to drive for the past year (40-45mpg on short runs to work and back). I will get the Ambiance 4x4, great for main job (need to be able to make it to and from work in any weather), and perfect for camping and my part time archaeology work (Many a downpour mid summer when the cars are all parked in a field, or hiking a mile with kit because the Citroen Picasso struggles on gravel).
Very, most definitely, ulta excited to be a two Duster family.
Wife's: Laureate 4x2 Argentum Silver. 2013.
Mine: Ambiance 4x4 Alpine White. 2014.
Congratulations Vespasian, You are surely the first 2-Duster family on this Forum, well done!!!
I think Bandit and I were the first 2 Forum Dusters to be photographed together, you can top that with a photo of 2 cars owned by the same family, and what a great compliment for Dacia. I hope they present your wife with a big bouquet when you go to pick up the new one!!
That would be very nice, but a bit unlikely (in the nicest way possible).

vespasian !!
Yay....thats brilliant...a 2 duster family!
And I can say with authority....that the Ambiance 4x4 is heaps better than a C4 saloon on rough
muddy terrain and forestry type roads...
Not brilled george in the snow yet (cos we've not had any) but he'll do me just proud i reckon !
AND...got to ask....are you getting silvery silver ?????? The colour SO good they named it twice !!!
DM xx
Aye, daft use of latin really. Just call it silver or argentum, rather than silver silver.
Any road up, I want the compass and mountain motif on the side of my car. I wonder if Dacia do it on request. I like the "adventure" look.

Is it better to save money and get a Phase 1? A local dealer was offering a Laureate 4x2 with metallic paint for £11,738; compared to £13,990 for a Phase 2.
Is the Phase 2 two grand better than a Phase 1?
It is if you don't want the potential hassle of rust in the phase 1. Unless they throw in bag of goodies such as extra warranty and free servicing.
Best of luck what ever you chose worth the money.

Hi teeb,
Not really something anyone else can answer for you; however, the following threads might help you come to your own decision:
http://www.daciaforu...duster/page-146
http://www.daciaforu...th-your-duster/
http://www.daciaforu...uster-thoughts/
Others will be along shortly to supply first-hand experiences to consider too.
Whatever you decide to go for, may I wish you the best of luck and happy motoring:)
PARENTAL ADVISORY: Balanced Content
Better'?
its slightly different and almost guaranteed not to have the rust issue. The main thing to consider is the mk 2 is merely a stop gap to distance itself from the much maligned rusty Dusty until the full face lifted Duster that's available in Europe arrives next year.
The mk 2 your looking at now will then also be probably going for a few grand less.
