The manual tells me that the time on my clock will be automatically set using the GPS. This seemed okay until the clocks went forward last month. The time on my clock stayed the same. In the end I was forced to go in and manually change it. Am I missing something here, or does it not cope with the time changes?

GPS time is fixed. If you had summer time you would suddenly jump 15 degrees East or West and it's application varies country to country. Chaos! It's currently 18 seconds ahead of UTC as it does not apply leap seconds though presumably the unit adjusts for at least most of those seconds

Mine updated itself. GPS signal remains in universal time, wot used to be GMT. Maybe there's an option to correct for BST or not, since depending where sold, there will be differences in whether and when bst would be right.

The time is updated by GPS but also is connected with "global_cfg" file in MediaNav if you have this unti type.

Sometimes this one remain locked in same area even if you didn't change the place and need to try upgrade at last version this file.

This can be done simple with an update of unit software or individual manual.

Depending by your unit version this software update is recommended or not. For example if you have new version of MediaNav MN3 Evolution 2.0 I will not recommend update the software if you have 1.0.13.1. Other types MN1 Standard or MN2 Evolution I recommend upgrade to last version.

You must be tuned to an FM radio station, with RDS ! It won't change if you are only playing music via a stick or only tuned to  AM radio stations ! wink.png

Thanks for all those replies.

The car was new in January so I'm assuming I've got the latest software. Also the radio is tuned to Classic FM so the frequency is not the problem. I couldn't see an option to correct to BST. I guess I'll just have to wait for the autumn.

I think wrong about software that must be the last. But maybe you are right. Check you version and let me know, I will tell you if is the last.

Is RDS turned on it is option. If it is try tuning temporally to a BBC station.

You see that is not the last version and even you have a version which many claim that have a lot of bugs (maybe you are lucky one or do not use it too much).
There is also 1.0.13.3.
For this unit type the most stable version so far is 1.0.13.1.
