Bit of a problem.
We arranged a part ex for a new Stepway on September 14th.
We were offered a p/x deal of £10600 on our old car.
This was put into the agreement.
Both parties knew delivery would be mid October.

We are due to pick the car up on Saturday.
The salesman rang this morning asking if we wanted GAP insurance. We agreed to this.
We then received an amended form with the value of our part ex reduced to £10300!
When confronted the salesman said the manager had reduced the value of the part ex value as more than a month had passed since we signed the agreement.

I think we should have been informed before any change in the agreement / part ex value was made.
We signed the agreement in good faith
Anyone else think they've been a bit naughty?

A bit naughty.

When I bought my Stepway in July 2013 I agreed a p/x price. I received a phone call from the dealer the next day apologizing saying delivery would not be until November. I was OK with that, he said the agreed p/x price would stay and it did ! wink.png

PS

Don't buy GAP insurance from the dealer. rip off !!  ohmy.png

My Stepway ? I'm lovin' it !! :D  :D

I bought GAP insurance for both my Sandero and Logan at around £100 each from ALA -  with a discount for going through Honest John. My dealer had quoted £350 per car!

Yes I use ALA Gap insurance on a previously, the Mercedes dealership wanted silly money at the time. Dealers are all for the percentage.

Issue resolved. Dealer has got back and agreed original part ex figure.
They also had the decency to apologise.
Also, thanks for the heads up on GAP. Got a quote from Motoreasy and garage have reduced theirs to match , saved a couple of hundred there.
