All cars have had to have an immobiliser for many years. Maybe he is confusing with an alarm

Salesman said no?
It has a Thatcham approved immobilizer fitted at the factory. Don't forget to tell your insurance company, maybe worth a discount. Mine asked me !

All cars since immobilisers became mandatory are "Thatcham approved immobilisers". The question only applies to old cars so answer yes.
