Dacia, together with Romturingia, a company in Câmpulung Muscel specialised in the conversion and installation of car bodies, announces the delivery of the first Duster vehicles for ambulance services.
The transformation project underlying the technical specifications envisaged the creation of a vehicle for transporting ill persons, to be adapted for use in the most difficult field conditions.
The product generated based on the cooperation between the specialist teams of Renault Tehnologie Roumanie (RTR) and Romturingia is an A1 type ambulance, homologated according to relevant European norms.
The vehicle is based on the Duster model structure.
The latter was heightened and prolonged by 300 mm, by extending the rear overhang to provide thus the necessary space for installing, in the compartment created behind the front seats, the entire useful unit for transporting an ill person and an accompanying person, as well as the first aid medical equipment.
The first Duster ambulance vehicles ordered are delivered to Angola, where the models produced at Mioveni are traded under Renault brand.
In addition to its practical qualities and the peerless features/price ratio, the Duster ambulance models with the car body produced by Romturingia have the advantage of their capacity to intervene in extremely difficult areas, normally inaccessible for most classical ambulances.
This new special vehicle demonstrates once again the good collaboration between Renault Romania Group and Romturingia, one of the main companies in the country specialised in car bodies.
The recent results of this long-lasting partnership include the Duster Pick-Up vehicle, which has become part of the OMV Petrom fleet since last year.
