An audience of more than 11,000 persons participated in the performances given by artists within the Classic Is Fantastic project, during the season which ended on 7 June 2015, with the show The Childhood of Great Composers – Ludwig Van Beethoven, at the Romanian Athenaeum.
Starting last autumn children, accompanied by parents, grandparents or teachers went to Odeon Theatre or to the Romanian Athenaeum to watch performances and recitals such as The Childhood of Beethoven, The Childhood of Chopin, The Childhood of Bach, A Trip to the World of Percussion Instruments and many others.
The 2014-2015 season offered some original premières to young music lovers. A special performance was the general rehearsal with audience of the Romania – Moldova Youth Orchestra, which gave an exceptional concert under the baton of master Cristian Mandeal at the Romanian Athenaeum in February. In April young people were offered an interdisciplinary experience by the famous Romanian choreographer Gigi Căciuleanu and his ballet company, Romanian Dance Company. They explained to children How to understand music and… dance through a general rehearsal with audience of the recently staged show Fabrika. In June, on the occasion of the International Children’s Day, after the Childhood of Chopin show, children had the chance to freely draw pictures on the Dacia Logan 10 years and Dacia Sandero Stepway cars exhibited near Odeon Theatre.
This was the third season supported by Dacia Romania as partner of this musical educational project. The collaboration with Classic Is Fantastic, which has been ongoing for four years, will continue in the next season as one of the most important educational programmes in which Dacia is involved.
