On Tuesday 7 July 2015 Capital magazine awarded prizes to the most important industry players within the Romanian industry Award Gala, held at Athenee Palace Hilton.
11 prizes were awarded for Romanian industry, in the following categories:
- Best company in the energy field,
- Best company in the automotive industry
- Best company in heavy industry
- Best company in the chemical and construction materials industry
- Best company in the furniture industry
- Best company in the light industry
- Best company in the food industry
- Best company in the IT sector
- The prize for Technology and Innovation
- The prize for the largest merger in Romanian industry
- The Big Prize of Romanian Industry
Within this Gala Automobile Dacia was awarded the Big Prize of Romanian Industry. The prize was handed by Eugen Teodorovici, Minister of Public Finance.
Industry is the main sector of Romania’s economy. Almost one quarter of the GDP is achieved by companies in this sector.
