Peter Withers on 2015-04-22 15:18:01 EditJust picked up the Sandero Acsess on Monday. Very pleased. Can anyone say if the 12oo petrol engine seems a bit noisy / and tappity. For the price I am very pleased so far except it just seems the engine is noisy. 12 miles on the clock last Monday. Oil clear like honey. Years ago we was able adjust the tappets and I am sure I made the engine run quieter . Can anyone please put my mind at rest. Thank you.

Alan Smith on 2014-12-21 01:46:20 EditI was a little sceptic about what the Sandero was like , well its 2 years since I got mine , I have to admit that the car has been very reliable and have had any problems with the car , It still looks good and everything works , My only regret is that I did not get the Duster that I really wanted , However it was financial at the time, I would shop around for loans as the interest rates is pretty high for a small loan ,
Have to say the car is great with plenty of room , and reliability , Engine could be better as the tax on it is quiet high but the sales reps will keep some details from you, they dot want to loose a sale but trade in on your car is minimal , Could be worth selling your car privatelyRating: 55 /5 stars- How It DrivesUser: 75%

taikwandodo on 2014-11-19 13:57:30 EditI got my Sandero march/april this year and it is a superb car handling every task I chuck at anything from a boot full of luggage for a family holiday To carrying a replacement engine for a friend. Being the DCi Model it pack plenty of power and returns very good MPG. The only downsides to the in my opinion is the Body roll but even when it is leaning the car still has plenty of grip that and the fact i could not choose some of the optional extras without going for the next model up (Laureate) so i had to live without them.

Shirley Leitch on 2014-11-04 09:40:20 EditI have had my Sandero for a year and a half and it is great for my day to day running about, fuel economy is similar to my old Citroen C1
I enjoy driving it and with it being the Ambience it has electric windows and central locking. Shame the boot has to opened by a key though.
The car is big enough inside for 3 passengers and a 4th small one!
The boot is a good size.
Love the USB for my music
It zooms along on motorways and on the flat.
Negative points are the turning circle is not great, spaces I used to be able to swing into now take a couple of manoeuvres.
Struggles a bit on steep hills especially if I have passengers..
Most times its only me in the car so it is just what I need.
If it was to be a family car I would go for the bigger engine..
Excellent value for money.Rating: 55 /5 stars- How It DrivesUser: 100%

tobster911 on 2014-06-20 15:15:28 EditExcellent first brand new car. Note I drive the 1.2, but there's no option for that in this review thingy.
Love driving her. Very easy to see out of, though rear window is a lot smaller and harder to see out of than my old car, but will get used to it soon enough.
Overall, I love the car and wouldn't hesitate to recommend, though next time, I think I'll get myself the 0.9 TCe or even 1.d dCI.
Love the car though

ELF2013 on 2014-02-16 15:15:09 EditI have owned my Dacia for 5 months & I love it ! So far the car has spent most of it's time battling awful weather & has done so with no complaints or issues. The 0-60 time is very slow, but once the revs are up the car can hold it's own on motorways, but on winding roads the body roll can be alarming, but once you have learnt how the Dacia reacts on corners you can adapt your driving accordingly.
For the purchase price of £8,000 you cannot complain, the Dacia comes well equipped, it's nice to have air con, all round electric windows, remote central locking & cruise control all for a budget price. The dash board can creak, but this depends on the temperature inside the car, but it isn't annoying & rarely happens. I am not sure how the car will stand up to day to day use, & only time will tell, but so far I am very pleased with the car, & will be buying another when the time comes. bigeater on 2013-12-15 15:10:16 EditWell now covered 850 miles in 4 months and got to say I'm very happy with my sandero. Returning around 44mpg which is about 10% more than the Hyundai I10 it replaced. Spacious enough for my needs as company car does the horse work and the sandero used as a second car and used mainly as the weekend kids taxi. Super cheap to insure at £144 for full comp for the wife and I. Only criticism so far is the boot has to be opened manually via the lever or inserting key, would have liked this to be part of central locking but not a huge concern.
Drives well, has its limits though when trying to overtake but getting used to that now. Petrol version was right choice for me as won't be doing the miles to justify a diesel.
So four months in and can't fault it, gives me everything I need and much better than the Hyundai.Rating: 44 /5 stars- How It DrivesUser: 80%

Bogratsteve on 2013-07-30 15:09:00 EditCompleted 6,000 miles in the last 2 months in the little blue car so starting to get used to driving it.
Bad points for me are the seats, an annoying squeak from the springs in my seat and they offer little support when cornering, fine for motorway and town use but country roads are poor, this ties in with the handling of the car, I don't mind it at all but it is a bit bouncy on the bumps and when chucked into a bend it does not like it and struggles, maybe firmer suspension would have been better, but all in all not to bad as long as you drive to its capabilities.
Good points far out weigh the bad ones, the engine and fuel economy is top draw, average 65mpg across the tank when putting my foot down occasionally, 5th gear takes a bit of getting used to but the power is big and it pulls well in all gears, easily good enough for overtaking.
The Media system is top draw and the sat nav is great except for not having full postcode destination, lights seem fine, cruise control and rear parking sensors work a treat, the style if OK, like the front end but the rear end is a bit poor.
Overall for a budget car i'm really pleased with it and look forward to a few thousand miles more in it.

User: 80%2013 Dacia Sandero Laureate, 1.5 Diesel (dCi 90)
Gosh on 2013-07-10 15:08:35 EditNow I've clocked up some miles, over the past five weeks, I think I can now give the Dacia Sandero a fair review. I have the diesel Laureate 1.5 version, with alloy wheels, metallic paint, and the MediaNav thing.
I cannot really fault the Sandero. When you first drive one you feel like you are driving something a bit higher up than a regular car, but a little lower than the average 4x4. Quite a difference a bit of height makes, as visibility is much better than you would get from a regular car. Even in reverse the mirrors and back window give you an excellent view of what is behind you; helped a little by the beeping parking sensors. Seriously, if you reverse into anything in a Sandero, you're really not paying attention.
The steering is another thing that stands out. It feels light and easy like a back wheel drive. I've had power steering before, and the Sandero has the most unobtrusive powrered steering I've used. No noises, no resistance and no muscles required. As for driving comfort, it is certainly a comfortable ride.... a little bouncey on some roads, but the Sandero seems to float along and the only criticism is that you do get a lot of road noise, but you soon get used to it.
The MediaNav is delightful. Just plug in a memory stick with all your favourite music on it, and you'll be flicking through your entire music collection using the steering column controller. There's a handy little button above this for answering your phone via bluetooth on the same stick. I won't bore you with all the details, but the mapping and Sat Nav features are really good..... and it even tells you the altitude you are at above sea-level.... Basically, there's a whole load of goodies to play with and I have to say that it's worth the extra money to get. The onboard computer is also very handy, especially the MPG and fuel range features.
The main reason I bought the Sandero was the diesel engine. Open up the bonnet and you'll see the Renault dCi engine filling up the engine bay. According to the onboard computer my Sandero does about 82 MPG on a flat road, in fifth gear. The published 80 MPG seems to be a reality. But if you want to have a little excitement, just try putting your foot down in the Sandero. It will take off like a sports car. I'm not kidding, the Sandero diesel is FAST when you need it. The best of both worlds, economic and speedy. It pulls five people up hills, like the hills aren't really there. Lots and lots of power to play with.
Oh, and I nearly forgot the bonus feature of this wonderful car... NO ROAD TAX and if you ever feel like driving through central London.... it's exempt from the congestion charge (if you register). You can't argue with a vehicle that costs nothing to tax, does 80 MPG and goes like a rocket, can you?
All in all the Dacia Sandero, is good in all departments, an excellent all rounder!
