      Hi there,
My stepway's electrical fault light came on just when needing a service. I've cleaned air filter meantime til I get the parts through but noticed that cruise control doesn't work nor the lights that suggest when to change gear. Main issue is that I lose power when driving above 30 (max 45mph uphill!) Does anyone know if changing air and fuel filters will fix these issues?
      Cheers

I would say that your car had gone into "limp mode". You need to visit a dealer or a mechanic with Dacia compatible diagnostic equipment !  ohmy.png

    • dgc

This what I have said elsewhere on this forum regarding the clutch and I quote "Seems to be a common problem / fault with the 1.5dci 5 speed gearbox combo with the single mass clutch be it fitted to a Dacia, Nissan or Renault. There is a suggestion on the Nissan Qashqai forum about re-priming the clutch hydraulics which is said to clear / improve matters. Our Stepway has a slightly temperamental clutch, depending on the day of the week, whether it sunny or overcast will determine if the clutch will have a slight judder or not on the pull away in 1st gear, totally fine in reverse gear, perhaps drive in reverse. Learnt now to control / feather the clutch carefully to alleviate the problem most of the time, our Duster with the 1.5dci 6 speed gearbox combo with the dual mass clutch is a gem." Not good but thankfully it is a single mass clutch and therefore a three piece kit is about £140 for a Luk pressure plate, disc and the centre slave cylinder.
