Hi Stig and welcome to the forum. wink.png

5 spoke wheels do appear on eBay from time to time, but very rare !

Have you tried the breakers on eBay ?

I was lucky when I ordered a spare wheel kit with my new Stepway in 2013, I got a 5 spoke, now you only get a modular. So if I damage one of mine all I need is a modular for a spare !

      Hi

The gas spring on the bonnet of our 2015 duster has failed.  Foolishly I removed it prior to ordering a new one.  Can anyone remind me which way up it is fitted - is the "barrel" at the top or bottom?

Hi Nigel and welcome to the forum !

On my Sandero Stepway the largerst diameter part (barrel) is at the bottom, with the thin rod (piston) connected to the bonnet ! I assume the Duster is the same, possibly even the same part number ! wink.png

On most cars a spanner comes on to tell you the car needs servicing. Not on my Dacia Logan  it doesn't If the rectangular box with wavy lines appears >> ON ITS OWN
    • Diana27

      You've confused me!

The service light will come on when service mileage is reached OR after a specific time irrespective of mileage..... No matter what mileage is showing that light may come on - That's the issue, so there is no point looking at just mileage.
The other issue is that it is not obvious that the light coming on, which is the light with a box and wavy lines, is the service indicator..

That is not pointed out in the handbook, nor is there any indication of how to extinguish the light.

Not everyone will have an OBD tool -  I have an OBD tool no fault  was showing.

If you want confusion then look no further than a Dacia handbook which is designed to lead you straight to a dealer where you could  part with money for a job people maybe able to do themselves.

    • Daedalus

The wavy lines service warning was introduced with the facelift in 2017. Prior to that there was no service indication except on top spec which had the countdown which could be reset at will with the stalk button.

Post '17 people started getting the wavy lines which appeared on the dealers check list to be cleared on service. A few people like you have been able to reset it themselves with the stalk button but you appear to be in a small minority.

I was wondering whether the top spec cars with the service countdown could all self clear the warning or just some.

Is it "works as designed" or a cock-up? Both the mileage and days are defined in the software and can be altered with software such as ddt4all.
