Not important, but just wondered...  This is all about my lovely 2019 diesel Duster. 

 

Firstly, my AC fan goes faster and slower depending on driving, I've read this is standard due to several factors... Is this true?

 

Secondly, without doing electrical experimentation lol... Is there any way of knowing if my car has regenerative braking?

The newer cars with start/stop have an EMM ( energy management module ) combined with a Smart Alternator.

 

A conventional alternator's output is pretty constant though does vary with rpm. A Smart alternators output is varied as long as the battery has a minimum charge level so that if you accelerate the load is reduced and if you brake it is increased so some of the energy that would be heat in the brake pads is stored as chemical energy in the battery.

 

It also regulates the A/C fan. this is of course a simplification.
