Hi, we've just picked up our 70 plate white Sandero Stepway Comfort today.
First impressions of the car are good.
Great kit for an 11k budget car!
The engine is nice and nippy. No slower than the Polo 1.0 95tsi we handed in for her. This might be because VWs are so heavy?
Quiet on the road.
I'd read a lot of reports that there was no room to put your left foot when resting it next to the clutch pedal. There's loads of room. I noticed that the pedal is bent slightly towards the brake, is this something Dacia has done recently to solve the problem?
I drive like a grandad so can't detect roll into corners. Unlike what car mags say, the gear shift is smooth.
I've also read quite a bit about people having to turn on side lights on before the dials illuminate. On this car the dash is permanently illuminated.
Comfortable, love the sat nav, the armrest and plush mats finish the interior off nicely.
I wouldn't listen to the snobby auto reviewers or Joe Public who turn their nose up at Dacia , you get more than what you pay for.
Best of all, even our lass likes it. High praise indeed.

Interesting that after 8 years the dash is permanently illuminated. It was always just a software configuration..

Yep, soon as we open the door the dash illuminates, then stays on about 30 seconds when you take the key out and leave the car.

I have very big feet. never had a problem finding space and had several versions over the years.

agree. the reviews are very odd, and frankly bollocks.

Dash illumination is new. Turn our on lights as soon as it gets harder to read.

Update on new Stepway.
Over the moon with it.
Did a round trip from Wearside to King's Lynn a fortnight ago.
Very comfortable and didn't miss a beat.
Low noise level on motorway and engine didn't struggle at all.
Speed limiter and cruise control were very helpful.
Trip computer says we're averaging 47mpg. Not too bad for a petrol.
Cheers.

There's one for sale on eBay, two days left to run on auction.
Or surely any dealer would have them for sale?

Sounds about right, they were £25 six years ago. Not much cheaper on eBay ! ohmy.png

Probably because they are "structured" and not generic.
