In the Sandero Brochure under "Technical Specifications" "performance" they quote the 1000 metres and 400 metres stopping distance for each version, .

For 1000 meters stopping distance the 1.2 16V has a time of 36.2 seconds, the Tce90 has a time of 32.8 seconds.

For the 400 metres stopping distance the 1.2 16V is 19.4 seconds and the Tce90 17.5 seconds.

(I have left out the times for the diesel to save typing!)

Question:

In quoting these times and specifications, what are Dacia telling us? What is the message? Is it something to do with rolling resistance?

I do not think it is braking performance ( unless they are stopping the car with the handbrake and nothing else)

Anyone have an explanation please?

Pretty sure its the standing 1/4 mile - 400Mtrs and standing Kilometre acceleration times. usually they give the speed at the end of the test run.
