I had to change the rear lower engine mount because it was worn and causing the car to jump out of second gear .
I also changed the mounting over the gearbox in case of excessive wear, this means removing the battery and tray that supports the air cleaner .
Refitted everything, turn the key, engine will not turn over, no clicks, no dim lights, nothing .
Checked the fuses, charged the battery, retraced all the areas I visited, nothing .
Decided to check the starter motor connections lots of corrosion, started to remove them for cleaning (battery disconnected) and found the fault starter connection corroded through sheared off as I touched it .

only bought it a week ago, as a very high mileage example 150,000 . So its history is unknown, service book is stamped by a dealer miles from the coast . So probably fault is as a result of age, mileage and road conditions .
