Had this happen a little while ago and it did push back into place. However, a few months later it happened again (blame my wife for overfilling it 😀) and the rivets would just not go back. Pop-rivets wouldn't work so in the end used a couple of long bolts and washers to hold it it place through the existing holes and drilled where the rivets were. Need to check before drilling to see if there is any cables or anything else behind them. Only used two and it has been fine ever since. You don't see the bolts underneath and in the glove box some black paint hides them.
