Dacia Duster Fuel Filler Flap

I had the same problem with my new 2023 journey too. Used a bit of copper grease on the release mechanism and all seems ok now. Thought it would be checked at PDI though. Love the car though brilliant in all other ways.
Me too, same situation. I saw your post and bought some copper grease. Applied it and it worked. Copper grease is a bit messy to use. Anyone tried WD40?
 
Where are you meant to put the grease please as I also cannot open the filler flap om my 2019 Duster
I put the copper grease on the prong/latch of the flap. In my case it was a bit of arrow shaped white plastic. If you use a spray can its worth masking off the car exterior. After a couple of months now the filler cap keeps working. So thanks Paul Adams for some good advice.
