So you could do a regeneration sitting in the driveway and running at 3000 revs for 15 minutes?

No need ! Normal running will produce a regen as required ! No need for high revs either !

Hi everyone. Posted for the first time earlier on. My sandero stepway has done 22.5k miles only to have a near catastrophic DPF problem. Needs a forced regeneration now at a cost of £250. Apparently not under warranty ????????

you could buy yourself a nice Dacia diagnostic reader for that and do the re-gen yourself, just remember to change the engine oil, check the engine coolant levels and get the engine up to operating temperature, before you start the re-gen process and do it outdoors where it wont disturb the neighbours because that little engine will scream like mad for about 20 mins its quite scary at first but you must change the engine oil and check the coolant or your asking for trouble. dont park the car on long grass or you might cause a fire, flat concrete is better and leave the bonet open so you see steam if it starts to overheat. if you do buy a diagnostic reader make sure it has a DPF re-gen option for Dacias. it is also a good idea to put the car in 3rd gear and push the car backwards, ignition off checking the condition of the cambelt if it has one. maybe have a look on you tube for Dacia diagnostic readers and find a company that will provide instruction videos for you to watch via you tube.

Ive spent many years using the French Car forum and those members that have diagnostic tools and the experience to use a Citroen Lexia diagnostic tool offered to use their Lexia to help others on the forum, it would be nice to see that happen here , maybe the admins could arrange a register so that we can find a diagnostic session near our hometowns to figure out our biggest troubles, once a network is built it serves to help everyone and a cuppa tea or coffee and chat about our cars is always an interesting ice breaker. it makes forum members friends rather than just distant people on a web page.

at least 3000 rpm for 25 miles in 4th gear and at least 3/4 of a tank of fuel.
