for those of you wishing to fit a towbar - this may be helpful to you.

The THULE does not require a bumper cut(something I did not want to do) --- the Witter does need cutting apparently.

as in many instructions to fit things, the instructions are abysmal - the location of the holes in the rear chassis arms was rather elusive - so ----

imagine you are lying on your back looking up at the boot floor and the 2 chassis legs - you will see a transverse box section going across the car between the 2 chassis legs - measure approx 3" backwards towards the bumper for the first hole and you will find it - push through and your screwdriver will pop out inside the cubby hole where the jack and wheel brace lives - the mounting bolts go from this cubby hole into the centre of the car and pick up the towbar plates - easy when you know where the holes are !!!!!!!!!!

the THULE needs the heat plate removing above the silencer to give you extra space - replace after job done.
