Engine not starting - apparent fuel pressure issue

Recently my wife had a small bump on the front of our 2013 Dacia Sandero diesel. Minimal damage (mainly just the licence plate is bent). Happened as she was coming out of our drive way; foot slipped and ended up bumping into our fence. (strong fence).

This did not cut out the engine but once it had been turned off it would not start again.

The engine currently starts for a second and then cuts out. We got a guy to look it over and connect his laptop to it - showed that the fuel pressure was reading 1200 psi when it only needs 300 psi. recommended a new fuel pressure regulator.

Regulator purchased, installed. still the same problem. No Change. Starts for a second then cuts out.

Could this be the crash sensor or internal computer cutting out the engine due to a 'crash'?

Any help would be appreciated.

There seems to be Front Right and Left Impact Sensors, possibly 988304337R fitted to the Sandero 2. Not sure how these all interact, of all things will need to interrogate the car's management again or you will / may spend a lot of cash switching parts in and out, got the tea shirt for that already. Could even be the fuel pressure sensor. On Renault Clip which I use it goes deep into the car's computers, not sure what your guy was using may be the same as some software may not pick up all the Dacia / Renault fault codes. As you have written the over-pressure seems to be / could be causing the computer(s) to shut the engine down, not sure if one can fit a pressure gauge to the rail or not.
