Just had a look at my fuel log. I have travelled fewer than 7000 miles (only just), had the car just over 4 months, and it's already cost me over £1000 in fuel.

No real purpose to this topic, just thought you'd want to know. Working on that, I'll be spending nearly half my yearly wage on fuel! (I'm an apprentice, so pay isn't great)

Should've gone for a diesel :p

7000 miles in 4 months? Ouch! We normally do that distance in a year.
Was told a while ago that 10-12k/year was the economic point for a diesel.

Oooh DM, don't tempt me. I loooove the Dacia New Duster (not so keen on the name), and if I get some money, I will most certainly be purchasing one to be a big brother to Sandy :)

Just added my most recent fill up. Sub £10.

1.6390 gallons

99 miles

60.403 mpg

£9.38

60mpg... Seems like way too much, but come to think of it, all my driving has been very gentle... But seriously? Is this possible?

500 miles today. The first 250 used nearly a full tank. The return journey, at the same speed, used less than half
