Very interesting. I have a new Stepway Extreme, delivered beg Nov and it keeps stalling while I am driving, usually when I have changed gear down and always when I have pressed the accelerator. I am taking it back for the 2nd time on Tues as they say they found nothing last time. I have an ongoing thread on here about it. Not sure if this is the same issue you are talking about. Would really appreciate any more details if you could get any for me? Many thanks.

I read the other day that Renault have shifted over 250,000 e-tech hybrids so far. IIRC there are 25,000 HEV Clios on UK roads alone using the same system. We've certainly covered nearly 5,000 trouble-free miles so far since October (having gone nuts driving around the UK at Christmas )

Sadly the dealers are still playing catch-up on some of the new technology and government backed training is a joke. My son quit his 'modern apprenticeship' in 2022 to switch to a manufacturer's own training programme simply because he was fed up of stripping down carburettors - his fuel injection training only covered the mechanical Jetronic system that's in my 1980's Mercedes...

Perhaps your friend should inform the dealer his intention to reject the car to focus minds?

Duckface, you have given me advice on my thread re: car cutting out. I know this post refers to a Hybrid Jogger and mine is a Stepway Extreme, but do you think the problem could be the same thing?
