I had to put my foot down when in 3rd gear, to avoid an idiot , and my Duster moved like a plane approaching takeoff.

Dacia Duster Laureate DCi

I love it. :)

I have to say the in gear acceleration did impress me as I was expecting to feel dog slow considering we usually drive a Clio 172 or Twingo 133 day to day,

Obviously the first couple of gears feel very shorter but once you're in 3rd gear it pulls itself along nicely. Can only imagine a re-map on the 1.5dci would be a nice bit of extra power.

I haven't given mine any welly at all, which is fortunate as there is a 900 mile, no higher than 2500 revs running in stipulation in 2.2 of the manual. Be careful.

Its the only time I've exceeded 2500 and then only for a matter of seconds.

I'll probably not go over those revs much even after 900 miles, I like plenty miles per gallon.
