Has anyone attempted this job?, if so what is the tightening torque for the hub nut/bolt, or, where can I find this info? any help would be appreciated
Not familiar with the Logan but would consider it very unlikey that you have to loosen the hub nut to change rear brake shoes.
On every car I have ever done that on in 40+ years of car repairs- just remove wheel, remove brake drum, drum usually has a small retaining screw or sometimes 2, remove drum, change the shoes, set up the auto adjust mechanism, refit drum.
I could obviously be wrong but am 99% sure I am probably not.
Hi edderman, thks for your reply . on the Logan access to the rear break shoes involves the removal of the brake drum as is normal. The drum has an integral bearing, is held on the stub axle by a 36/38 mm bolt/nut, it is this nut's tightening torque which I am find hard to find out
