Is this normal behavior of a brand new (2000km) petrol engine?
Similar sounds I had on my old (180 000km) diesel just before timing chain change, except for the shaking and trembling. :)

Yup, it certainly comes as a surprise to those that have never owned/driven a 3 pot engine before.

We're on our 3rd
First, was a Fiat 500 TwinAir, that had a proper 'thrum'
2nd, my current Vauxhall Viva, very quiet after a warm up, you can barely tell it's running.

And now, our Duster Journey, love this car!

...i found the Jogger's occasional bad rattle on startup more worrying than the usual running noise...

...I had visions of the clutch/flywheel failing - again - so I traded it in against a nearly new Duster before the warranty expired...

...my previous 2nd-gen Duster wad a triple, so I was used to the sound & feel of that engine...

I do have some vibrations when lightly engaging the clutch pedal.😂
These I have noticed since I got the car at 10km, and those vibrations are somehow fading away now, but still present.
A friend of mine told me that all Dacia cars in the company he is working for do have similar vibrations, but all of them have now more than 150 000km on the clock, without fails.
