Not sure if my new Jogger has an alarm. Current spec say yes but mine was registered in March. If it does have an alarm how do I disable it for an upcoming ferry trip.

Try setting it off, perhaps? Your manual should tell you how to turn it on and off I would have thought.

With a lot of cars it'll set off the alarm if you open the door with the manual key rather than the fob, so you can test that. The issue on ferries is mostly with alarms that have interior air movement sensors, which can usually be disabled separately to the door-opened part. I've certainly been on a few ferries with my car, and with the interior sensors disabled it's never gone off.

Open the bonnet & identify the alarm switch, which will be on the metal plate in front of the engine. Close the bonnet but don't drop it to fully lock it. The switch should get pressed in this position. Lock the car & try to open the bonnet - the alarm should come on & get disabled by pressing the key fob buttons.
