I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience as us.

We have a 4 x 4 Duster Access, Petrol, which has been brilliant since we bought it in March this year.

We were away for a week last week in the New Forest, so the car has had its most intense amount of driving that it has done we we got it - something like 500 miles in the week. On the day after we returned I noticed oil on the garage floor, so checked the dipstick and the level had dropped slightly. Over the following couple of days it got worse so it is now with Richard Sanders in Kettering, having an engine seal replaced.

All being well, we will collect the car today

Just interested if anyone has had anything similar

Hi,

Thanks for the comment. It seems to be fixed (it was a rubber seal with a nick in it), although this morning there was a drop of oil on the garage floor - this may be residue of the oil that had come out, so we are keeping a watchful eye on site

I don't think anyone has reported this before and a Google of the 1.6 engine doesn't seem to reveal any inherent oil leak faults. Fingers crossed for you bud.
