RENAULT has unveiled ambitious proposals to transform all its dealerships throughout the UK by the end of 2017.

The manufacturer will update their dealerships - which they will call Renault Store showrooms - with engaging displays, improved customer flows and interactive discovery zones.

There will be four key steps defining the new Renault Store experience: welcoming the customer, introducing the brand, displaying the range and exploring the products.

Although the roll-out should be complete by the end of 21017, Renault says more than half are expected to be converted by the end of this year.

Lookers Chester has become the first dealership in the UK to receive the Renault Store layout. David Cooper, Lookers' general manager, said: 'We feel privileged to become the first Renault Store and are absolutely delighted to be chosen to begin the transition for the Renault dealer network. The Renault Store concept has given us all the tools to help customers to make the right choice when buying their new Renault or Dacia.

Last year saw 108,440 sales in the UK across the Renault Group, with Renault car sales rising by 43.7 per cent to 66,334 vehicles, Renault van sales increasing by 39.3 per cent to 18,244 vehicles, and Dacia sales up 39.2 per cent to 23,862 vehicles.

I'd just settle for decent service. Not flash OTT stuff, just good customer service; you know doing it the old fashioned way where you pay a sum of money and the dealer pretends to care about what happens to you and your car and actually puts a bit of effort in.

Well fancy them being called Renault. Wonder how many of the dealerships will go, The small ones will have no hope then it's even futher to drive for a service. At least the coffee machine might be ungraded.

Renault recently had a cull of its range with the Laguna' Espace Modus and Wind (stupid name stupid car) all biting the dust. It looks like its now trimming its dealers. Dacia will never be a serious player while its getting sold from disinterested salespersons operating from a desk in a corner of the Renault/Nissan dealer. It needs to follow VW's example with Skoda and have its own dedicated Dacia dealerships.

The bit about the corner made me laugh... That's exactly where the Dacia chap is in my local dealer

In Alicante, Dacia have their own dedicated showroom in the same grounds as the Renault dealership a bit like Mercedes with their Smart car set up. With at least 2 sales staff they are always busy.
