In April took my 2020 Sandero bought new in January back to the garage to have a persistant failure to start problem sorted . It now has run with no repeats of this issue for 2 months .

I wrote to the garage a few days ago to add to my records asking what had caused the problem. I recall that when I collected the car the technician informed me that in addition to clearing the problem he had added a recent software patch issued to the garage by Dacia but I was not give an explanation what had caused the problem.

Today I received a telephone call from the garage manager in response to my letter asking me to book the car back into the garage for another recent software patch that had recently been issued. Seemingly this patch is to deal with sudden engine cut outs.

Seemingly these software patches if not safety related are introduced when a vehicle goes into the garage for a service or issue requiring attention.
