Hi Guys,

This is my first thread so be kind.

I've lost my sandero stepway keys, and getting a replacement is going to take a while. So I was wondering if I get a working key like the old car ones without a chip is it possible to start the engine of the car?

Thanks in advance.

No. Not if the regulations in your country are the same as UK where the car immobiliser will only allow the engine to start if the key or key card is present. It has been the law in the UK that all new cars since '98 must have an immobiliser fitted to prevent "hot wire theft". Many cars already had them fitted before then.
