Hi everyone.. last weekend 2 yellow lights appeared on my dash. yellow square with squiggle and flat tire sign. Flat tire flashes sometimes.. and is permanently on sometimes.
Picture attached..

I had a mechanic run diagnostics on it and the error 038096 came up.. from reading online it indicates a dodgy temp sensor. Blue cover located under battery towards radiator.. and I had planned to clean the connections this weekend and investigate..

I went to start my car this morning and the engine management light is yellow.. and the battery sign is red.
I tested the battery with car tuned off and it's reading 12.07 volts

With the jeep running its reading 11.54 volts.
My battery seems old so maybe this is the issue.

Around 12.8v minimum should be about right with the engine off and around 13-14v when it's running. I think your battery is a bit suspect and approaching 3 years old (according to the date stamp on the photo) it may be time to replace it. I have the original 2019 battery on mine from when the car was new so maybe I've been lucky.

A car battery is only 80% charged at 12.4 V. At 11.8 V it is badly discharged. Unless there is a good reason e.g. you left the headlights on you either have a faulty battery, charging circuit or a fault causing a parasitic heavy drain.
