Hi. I picked mine up on Friday. I havnt give it a good run yet but all seems well apart from an awful windnoise. Think its probably from the roofbars. If ya get above 50 with a crosswind its so loud.. Has anyone else got this problem..

Ive not been up to motorway speeds yet but i can only imagine it gets worse the faster ya go.. Its not just a bit of a noise, as said above its LOUD.. I don't think its doors. Its both front top corners at front.. IM guessing its roof bars but if it was everyone would have it and it sounds like some don't so it should be fixable.. Ill try it on motorway and if i cant suss it then itll have to go in to be checked out..

No. Its all standard. Must be something missing maybe a seal or grommet.. You defo couldnt miss it.. Pretty much couldnt hear the radio over it at 50mph.. Well if its not normal. Least it can be fixed..

Having just spent the last couple of days motorway driving at *slightly* above the national speed limit I can tell you there should be no feedback through the steering wheel.

Was spot on.

Bit of noise? Not much worse than my old 206 tbh.

Over the weekend the wind was gusting over 55mph...and as i drove to the birdies and back, yes the car was being buffetted a bit, especially in the mountain passes...but it wasnt so loud really...my old C4 made an awful din, and got blown about all over in the same conditions.
Dont know about the medianav, but on the duster radio u get in the ambo and lauri....setting the radio to "loudness" in the options makes an enormous difference.
Wud have thought there may be a similar setting to play with...maybe

My last car was a 12 year old ford focus.. Haha. So im not really comparing it to anything.. With working with cars there's not many makes and models i havnt driven. So i knew what to expect with it.. To be honest its alot better than i thought it would be. The noise cant be normal. You wouldn't expect the noise i herd from a mk3 escort cabriolet with a torn roof..

to be fair though i belted it down a bypass before and it wasn't as bad.. I think the heavy crosswind that was blowing the other day had a lot todo with it.. Maybe most cars with roof bars suffer from it.. its having a good motorway run at weekend so ill see how that goes.

"Thank you Sir for offering feedback on your Dacia. As I understand it your issue is a bit of unexpected wind noise. My system shows there are 2 standard answers to that issue: I can't bring myself to offer answer A regarding windiness (there is obviously some joker in the support team), so may I offer answer B: has Sir considered using his audio system at high volume to mask the wind-noise?" :D

I had a Kia Carens (similar size and with roof bars) and the wind/road noise was terrible. The Steppy is quiet in comparison but there is more noise on the motorway compared to a 'normal' (eg not Cross-over) car but that's only to be expected. However it's not stopped me using my hands free or listening to audio books through the medianav (audio books generally require a better degree of sound to hear the voices than just a piece of music you've heard countless times).

So in general or probs here (or hear)

As for the wheel vibration that definitely balancing as the others have said, you might have lost a weight off a wheel. I used to have a Citroen C5 and the alloy rim didn't have a hole in it and most garages can't balance them. I found a local place that could 'blind balance' but had to pay £2 per wheel extra for the arsing about of swapping the iron work on the machine. When I first got the car it was uncontrollable over 50mph until I got the wheels balanced correctly.

My Stepway suffers from wind noise at just over 30mph. The noise seems to be front left and sounds the noise you get with wind blowing over and down a drainpipe. I shall go to the dealer but don't think I will get much support from them
