You can still buy the insert kit but the sealed unit is a direct replacement.

Sadly I have the dci fuel filter with the paper element and bolts on the top.
My question; is the riveted fuel filter compatible with the paper element version or are they different?

Hi, there's this version as well which although more expensive seems a cleaner way for me as I'm doing the change on my drive ... any diesel spillages on the block paving won't be well received by the family!
