I have a Nextbase dashcam, and trying to figure out the best place to put it in my Jogger Extreme Hybrid. If I put it below the mirror, then I can't see the dashcam screen very well. I can't see it either if I put it on the passenger side. So I'm wondering where you guys have put yours.

Why do you want to see the dash cam screen?
It could be a distraction.
I put a nextbase in my duster with the plug in rear camera, on start up it comes on so I can see everything is as it should be and then it turns off and just records the journey.
I put it just off centre up by the mirror so the cameras get a good view front and back.
Also very easy to hide the wiring behind the trim and leave it plugged into the lighter socket (to tight to pay for the fitting kit for the fuse box.

Yes I thought of that when I fitted mine (never had one before) but it doesn't delete if you were involved in something until you reach the end of the loop so that wasn't an issue to me, so to speak.
Put it all together and plug it in then move it around the windscreen (don't take off the sticky pad tape) until you are happy and with a couple of bits of masking tape mark the outside edges of the pad on the windscreen, stick on and peel off masking tape guidelines.
Good luck.

It is illegal to have any object mounted on the interior surface of the windscreen within the sweep area of the wipers:

"In practice, the annual test will check that items placed in or stuck to the windscreen or surface damage, cracks or discolouration in the windscreen do not seriously obscure the vision of the driver. In order to better define what maybe permissible the windscreen is divided into zones:
  • Zone A is a vertical area 290mm wide, centred on the steering wheel and contained within the swept area of the windscreen (this area is 350mm wide on vehicles over 3.5 tonnes);
  • Zone B is the remainder of the swept area of the windscreen"

I also have a Nextbase dashcam mounted as per the example above, next to the housing for the rear view mirror. From the driving position it is hidden by the rear view mirror. If you want to view footage it is available via a smart phone or you can download it from the card.
