Hi I took my Stepway to Arnold Clarke in Bishopbriggs since my Cigarette lighter was not working, long story short they said that something had melted inside it , such as sat nav or other appliance. Said it was not covered under warranty. They would fix it for £105. I asked for a second opinion at my local garage . They took the device out and saw that it was not something which had melted inside but rather the actual unit casing at the back had all melted. Anyone else experienced this ? Any thoughts ? Cheers

I personally wouldn't never go near Arnold Shark' second only to Carcraft in shoddy after sales treatment. Get your car serviced at your local garage as the shark don't deserve your custom.. Don't believe me....google problems with Arnold Clarke
Have to agree. My last three cars were all bought from AC, on the strength of the undeniably low purchase prices. I never used their servicing until the current car, which I bought with a three-year servicing plan, as I wanted to get full benefit from the Kia warranty. I was never confident that they were doing much more than changing the oil and stamping the book, and once the plan had expired, I switched to Belmont Kia. It came back from its first service with them feeling so much more like the car I'd bought, because they actually check and adjust things like brakes, steering alignment, etc.

Will never use AC for servicing again - and if I can afford it, will be buying elsewhere in future too.
