Dacia Sandero Stepway Ambiance in need of engine replacement

Hi everyone, I'm in need of some advice. I have a Dacia Sandero Stepway Ambiance 0.9 2014. Recently broke down as the timing chain went. Had a diagnostic today and the mechanic has told me it's got complete engine failure and with the cost of repairs and labour I'd be better served completely replacing the engine completely.

Im going to need to source the new engine. Problem is I've never dealt with an issue like this before and dont really know what I should be looking for. I know that it has the tc90 engine, but have no idea beyond that what I should look for on Ebay etc. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Am I right in assuming you are looking at a second hand engine, if so you can check on Ebay, I would tend to go for a company which has a high feedback like Hillsmotors or Charles Trent Limited who are both on Ebay. Maybe you will find at scrapyard....

On continent...is around 700-1000 eur second hand...used one.

You should look in france...spain or germany sites.

From est is to much the cost of transport.

Hi i use Parts gateway. Just google it. Its a website that links you to scrapyards nationally. You just put your registration in which comes up with correct details of your vehicle then you put in the part you want . It then searches and scrapyards with that part in stock either text, email you with the price , delivery options and details of any warranty. Its really good , i use it all the time .
