Good evening,
I am having a problem with my 2015 diesel duster.
The red electrical and traction control light comes on intermittently. Sometimes twice an hour and sometimes never for weeks...no pattern to it. It also goes into limp mode.
I have the fault codes C422/c401/C114.
Has anybody else had problems?
Thanks in advance.

2WD or 4WD, 85 or 110 PS?

Does the CEL also come on?
U said that it also goes into `limp mode'. How long does it stay in that mode or is it brief & gets OK after stopping & restarting?

The codes are not clear. What scanner or App did u use? U need a scanner w/ manufacturer specific software.
Do U have a BT OBD adapter & are u familiar w/ using OBD diagnostic Apps?

Right now I'm thinking it's a diesel injector problem.

I too have a 4WD Duster.
I have 2 stand-alone diagnostic scanners.

CEL (check engine light). Synonyms: OBD light, but actually it is an 'Emissions Fault Code' light. This light normally goes off only after starting. Does this light also come on, may be after the other 2?

U didn't mention what scanner u used & one more question. Only then I can try to help u with whatever u have & what u need to do.

The problem is not ABS. It's the injector. But I need a proper scan result to advise.

I'm in India, +5.30 hrs GMT. Leave your reply. I'll answer tomorrow.

The 'zigzag orange & red light' (also with beep) are electrical/ electronic fault warning lights.
The 'skidding car image' is referred to is the Traction Control or ESP light. There is OFF & ON (ON not displayed). U have a switch at the level of the 4WD control knob w/ which u can switch the TC off or on. The next switch plate will be blank for u. For me that is the ECO mode. When the TC light is displayed as a warning light it cannot be switched off. (They should have used the TC OFF indicator rather than ON as a warning light!).

If there is an ABS problem, the ABS light will come on & brakes will work in non ABS mode. In your case the TC light has come on because u went into limp mode. However a temporary code will be set in the ABS module.

Renault codes are `DF' codes. There should be 4 numerals after the 'C' you noted. If it's C1422 or C0422 it may be a problem w/ the crankshaft sensor.

Since u don't have the resources to troubleshoot & your local garage probably doesn't have a good scanner & has not been able to clarify & rectify the problem, u should go to a better workshop or the DAC. Since it has occurred several times the faults would be stored in ECU memory.

I took to a Dacia garage, and the fault "is a restriction in the fuel supply". They changed the filter and primer bulb and cleaned out the tank. The fault remains. It seems only to occur at high speeds of 65/70mph. I can drive the car very hard in a low gear at high revs...this in theory should use more fuel and cause the fault if it was a restriction in fuel supply. The fault seems generated by speed . If I drive in high gear but with low revs (low fuel consumption) the fault occurs.Anybody have any ideas?
