I registered my interest with Dacia regarding the new Duster and apart from an initial email, have heard nothing?

Why are they so quiet, I would have thought they would be keeping prospective customers more informed?

I have owned 6 Dusters all brand new so probably not an ideal candidate to give my opinion, I have had problems a new gearbox in my first 4x4 Duster after 1500 miles, a wiper motor failure on my second 4x4 Duster, Leaking Windscreen on my third 4x2 Duster, my latest a Duster 4x4 DCI extreme is now 1 month old, I have cured the annoying rattle from behind the dash and simply switched off the annoying blind spot monsters that constantly false alarm, saying that I have had new LR, Porsche,BMW cars with problems also.

Dusters seem to grow on you, they are unpretentious and do what it says on the tin, yes they have problems but in my experience so do a lot of manufacturers, especially JLR, during all of the issues with Dusters my local dealer Griffin Mill in Treforest has always gone the extra mile to sort them out, big thank you to Ben, far better service than the other manufacturers that I have experience with.

All cars have problems but if the dealer is efficient in sitting them out then although it is an inconvenience the dealership experience makes up for that.

I will take a look at the new 4x4 Duster but am really concerned regarding the choice of engine, If they are still manufacturing Duster Diesels for other markets surely even if it is a special order they could supply a UK spec car????

I got a teaser email from Dacia UK yesterday intended to keep my interest up in the D3 ahead of UK launch whilst in Europe they just get on with ordering and driving it.

Headed "A new way of exploring" it doesn't say anything new.

It gushed "Some moments change the course of everything, and this might just be one of them".

Who writes this guff? It's the launch of a car, not a momentous world event.

It concludes "Power, style and efficiency - who said you can't have it all?".

I'd rather they just told us how much it will cost.

Thanks for the update, I have not received anything at all.

You can bet that the cost in the UK will be more than the EU ,I will post a price when I get to France and actually be able to see a car.

You can see the prices now for every European country by going to the Dacia website for each country as I have said above. There are some variations.

I guess the ÂŁ cost will be roughly the same as it is in Euros, so no difference notwithstanding the exchange rate.
