Hi all, I have checked previous posts. I have a 2015 Sandero, and the horn has stopped working. I have replaced fuse, horn, stalk and still not working. Have tested old and new horns and they both work independently. Couldn't find anything wrong with old stalk. Everything thing else is working fine on car. I am lost to what else it could be?? I couldn't trace any power to horn connector hense why replaced fuse and stalk. Any help / suggestions please?

Was your replacement stalk new or second hand as failure of the stalk appears to be common.

This video shows the horn switch appears to be the yellow and blue wires. He appears to show how to rewire but I haven't watched it all as I don't have the problem.

The replacement stalk was new. I've checked both and can find no problems with the wires, solder or connections. all the lights work fine. Is there a horn relay, if so where is it located? I have swapped the 3 relays around in the passenger side fuse box compartment, with no change or other errors found.

The horn fuse is 15amps. I've had to book into garage for next week to sort as MOT is due soon. They said the horn button on the steering column isn’t connected directly it connects to the computer to tell the horn to send it then sends a signal to the horn to make a noise so they have to run a diagnostic. Hopefully will get to bottom of this.

The wonders of modern car electrics, why make things simple when you can make them difficult !

Ok update, car went into local garage today, knowing what the problem was before hand, to be told their auto electrician was not in and either come back next week or take to a Dacia garage. Rang Dacia, they say it’s connected direct to the horn so it’s a dodgy wire or the power and earth not connected properly. So back to square one. Have checked all I can, so either need to book into Dacia garage or find a local auto electrician that likes a challenge and don't cost the earth.

Have you metered between the yellow and blue wires for continuity when the button is pressed? One of the wires should have a 12 V feed. If there is no 12 V find a 12 V and touch to the blue and yellow wires in turn if the horn sounds you know if it's the 12V feed etc.

Ok latest update. We then found a local auto electrician who couldn't get any of his expensive kit to talk / link up the the Dacia computer module. So no choice but to take to Dacia garage, who charge ÂŁ90 a hour! They put on computer and say it's the stalk, although we already tried replacing with new non-gen one and didn't fix. They say there is no live feed from fuse to horn, or fuse to module. So could be break in the wire somewhere? They are going to see if they can order and return a new genuine stalk to try and if don't fix we can return. Don't you just love cars.

From the horn button it's the yellow and blue cables on my Dacia Duster 2015. One broke and horn would only work with lights on. Both then broke and horn wouldn't work at all. Not an easy job to do but removed the switch assembly from the steering column and replaced the cables. Horn now working fine. I'm an engineer and it was a challenge for me so wouldn't recommend this unless you have the skills needed.

Thanks for this reply, daughter just told me her horn hasn't worked for months and mot is tomorrow, thanks for letting me know in good time lol 🙄. Anyway quick Google found this post, quick check with multi meter found power into horn switch on yellow and nothing out on blue, little pull on wires revealed both wires broken, strip it all down and solder in 2 new wires and back together ready for tomorrow, is a 20 to 30 minute job with the right tools and soldering iron etc, is a bit fiddly getting the switch all back together. Can see why the wires break as every time you turn lights on it twist the horn wires. Thanks again 👍

Just had the same issue and job to do, wires will break at the base of the stalk as every time you turn lights on and off it twist the yellow and blue wire back and forward. Is a fiddly job to solder 2 new wires in as have to completely strip all the mechanism down to get to wires.
