Do you have a spare, you should always have 2 keys.
If so go to Timkins and see if they can help.
Otherwise there are some very clever car key specialists, the difficulty is finding one near you - ask every one you can, search online etc.
Otherwise throw yourself at the mercy of the dealer.
Why would you want to tell your insurance company, unless you've got you name and addrress/details with the keys, in which case you need to change all your locks.

 

Yeah, we've got a second key. It was our local specialist (gets great reviews for car keys) that said 'Dacia is a nightmare for keys, you're better off going to the dealer.'

Just wondered if, in the event of a claim for theft, they could say I hadn't told them one of the keys were lost.

Do not tell your insurance or you will be penalised for years, go to Dacia and order a new one. It will be about 300 quid.

Well, it’s finally happened. After 25 years of motoring, I’ve lost a car key.

Well, touch wood, after 64 years of motor ownership I have never lost a key, nor come to that, even a key to my house (!)
