Wheel nut torque settings

Hi all, I have a 2014 plate Dacia Sandero 1.2 Laureate with alloy wheels - what is the correct torque setting for the wheel nuts? I found a figure of 110Nm but suspect this is for steel wheels, obviously, I don't want to damage my alloys.

Thanks,

Mike.

Hi dgc, thanks for the reply - yes the alloys are 'real' 5-spoke alloys. Funnily enough when we ordered the car the spec. was for steel wheels and trims. However, when we went to collect the car it had been up-specked to alloys wheels which we weren't happy about at the time (it's my other halves car and she didn't want to have to worry about curbing the alloys!) Also, I am glad you mentioned the different wheel nuts as we also specified a full size spare wheel (steel) and there was a spare set of wheel nuts/bolts in the boot - I didn't realise that the wheel nuts/bolts would be different for steel/alloy wheels so I had removed them from the car. I will now put them back in case we need to change the wheel - thank you.

I also suspected the figure of 105Nm seemed about right for the alloy wheel - contacting my local main dealer for Dacia is not a preferred option. The impression I have of them is if there's no money in it for them they aren't interested - not good customer service at all. Going forward now the car is out of warranty I going to service the car myself. The only problem is getting all the relevant service data - there is no Haynes manual for Dacia cars unfortunately.

I am also wanting to know what the spark plug gap should be for the 1.2 (16 Valve) petrol engine - (I believe it is the old Clio engine) 2014 plate. I have bought NGK spark plugs LZKAR7B (5942) which I know are the right ones but just wanted to check the gap was correct for this engine.

That's easy then. I bought the 8mm square socket from Halfords of all places for ÂŁ4.99 needed for the sump plug removal. I also bought a 14mm (hex. size) spark plug socket for the very unusual size spark plugs fitted to the 1.2 16 valve engine from a local Motorway discount store for ÂŁ6.99. All my other service parts I bought from Euro Car Parts.

I also bought a download manual - might turn out to be a big mistake

. In order to get the info. I need, it is asking for a 'vehicle type' code consisting on two letters followed by two numbers - any idea where I would find this info?

Our Sandero is the 1.2 16V Laureate on a 2014 plate. I know the 'engine type' code is D4F.
