Just about to renew my car insurance. I cannot seem to find the odometer to check current mileage. Struggling to find it in the handbook and Googled without success. Thanks in advance.

Ok, so I know nothing about the Sandero Stepway other than what I've seen on 'tinternet. I've looked at photos on car selling sites and from what I can see, the odometer display is the right hand display closest to the offside door on a UK model. So then, I take it that when you switch on the ignition, your current mileage is not displayed in the pod? Have you got a different setting showing there?

I take it that your car is fitted with an infotainment screen? Have you been into the settings and looked through the options?

If none of this applies, then I'm sure someone who knows what they're talking about, will be along soon.

This is what I love about the Dacia App for cars so equipped, it tells you in the App.

I hope the OP doesn't take this the wrong way, but it amazes me just how many drivers out there literally know nothing about what they're driving. An ex work colleague of mine literally drove her car until it broke, claiming that she'd not once checked the oil in her car because she had no idea how to. The engine eventually blew up whilst she was driving it on the M1. £1000 later for a replacement second hand engine with fitting, she twigged.

My Wife knows far more about her new Duster than I do, I mean she really knows everything in the settings, how to change stuff etc. I've shown her the mechanical stuff, how to check the oil/water/screenwash and given her a teach in on how to change a wheel, though I'd never expect or want her to change a wheel. For many though, it's a case of get in the car, turn it on and go and to hell with how it works until it doesn't 😆
