I have a Dacia Duster purchased four years ago, and from new it has only done 3456 miles. So decided to go on a trip to Spain last week. I had only driven 256 miles into France when the car started to act as if was being driven over unmade roads. Next the electrical light came on, and then warning to stop the engine. Limped into a petrol station on the motorway, from where I was taken to a garage in Alencon. The car had a diagnostic check which said it required a new fuel injector. Had the work done at a cost of 800 euros. Left garage, had only driven 16 miles when the same thing happened again. Back to the garage, only to be told another fuel injector needed replacing, but was advised to change all remaining three, as problem could happen again. This time the cost was 1900 euros. Gave up the idea of going to Spain, as did not trust to car to get us there, let alone get us back to the UK. Have been on to the dealership I got the car from, they promptly passed me over to Dacia, who said as the car was out of warranty it was nothing to do with them.. Again they told me to get in touch with the ombudsman, who in turn suggested the citizens advice. Have written a letter of complaint to Dacia asking why a vehicle with such a low mileage should require 4 new fuel injectors. A week has passed, and Dacia have not had the decency to answer my letter. Is there anyone out there who has experienced this problem with their Dacia Duster?
